BOOKINGS AND SERVICES
Services will be provided as agreed between the client and Elm Dog Walking Co. Walk times may vary slightly due to weather, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances.

 

PAYMENT

All payments are made weekly, payment is requested to be made before the week you are paying for. Sadly, if payment is not received, the walks will not take place.

 

DOG HEALTH AND VACCINATIONS
The owner confirms that their dog is in good health and up to date with all recommended vaccinations, flea treatment, and worming. The owner agrees to inform Elm Dog Walking Co. of any illness, injury, or medical condition that may affect the dog’s ability to participate in walks.

 

BEHAVIOUR AND SAFETY
The owner agrees to disclose any behavioural issues including aggression, biting, or reactivity towards people, dogs, or other animals. Elm Dog Walking Co. reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if a dog is deemed unsafe to handle or walk.

 

GROUP WALKS
Where applicable, the owner agrees that their dog may be walked with other dogs. All reasonable care will be taken to ensure safe and compatible groupings.

 

OFF-LEAD WALKING
Off-lead walking will only take place with the owner’s permission. While every effort will be made to ensure the dog’s safety, Elm Dog Walking Co. cannot guarantee that the dog will not run off or encounter hazards while off lead.

 

VETERINARY EMERGENCIES
In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, Elm Dog Walking Co. will make every effort to contact the owner or emergency contact. If they cannot be reached, the owner authorises Elm Dog Walking Co. to seek veterinary treatment. Any veterinary costs incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.

 

ACCESS TO PROPERTY
The owner agrees to provide safe access to the property for the purpose of collecting and returning the dog. Any keys, lockbox codes, or entry details will be kept secure and used solely for providing the agreed services.

 

CANCELLATIONS
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged at the full rate.

 

WEATHER CONDITIONS
Walks may be shortened, modified, or cancelled in extreme weather conditions (such as heatwaves, storms, or icy conditions) in order to protect the safety and wellbeing of the dog. Warm weather walking conditions will be agreed with the owner, however, dogs will not be walked in temperatures that are not suitable for the breed, or age of dog.

 

LIABILITY
While every care and precaution will be taken, Elm Dog Walking Co. will not be held liable for injury, illness, loss, or damage to the dog unless caused by negligence.

 

PHOTOS AND MEDIA
The owner consents to photos or videos of their dog being taken during walks for updates and possible use on social media or promotional material unless otherwise requested in writing.
